Success Stories
I had heard of Marillac through the community; never did I dream that it would someday benefit me. My son, Joseph, is 15 years old and for the last 8-10 years he has had a battle going on inside himself. In the last year, his behavior had escalated to out of control rages, violence, depression, self-medicating, skipping school, trouble with the law, impulsive, irrational behavior etc. He checked out on life. I had to call the police on my own son one Sunday morning when he was in one of his rages. That was the turning point. We turned to Marillac.
There, he was diagnosed with Bi-polar II, post traumatic stress disorder, ADHD, a learning disorder and more. No wonder he couldn’t function and was screaming for help in every aspect of his life.
With the intense therapy Marillac provided and emotional support and medication, I can say he was a different child coming home. He is calm, respectful, kind and we can laugh again; I have my son back. We still have bumps in the road to go through because Bi-polar is for life, but it’s a life I can manage now, thanks to Marillac. He has hope now and feels great for the first time in his life.
